It Has To Get Brighter

Kneeling on my knees, I pray,
Oh God, please send the light;
That I may do your will, Dear Lord.
Only, show me what is right.
I'm so confused and lonely, Lord.
I wish I could run and hide.
But even through all my troubles,
You're always by my side.
I know it has to get brighter.
For, you've promised me it's so.
Please be patient with me, Lord,
And watch my spirit grow.
Be ever watching over me
(Always calm my fears)
And, when you see I'm hurting, Lord,
Please wipe away my tears.
